The document seeks to stimulate discussion about the importance of having a consistent implementation of ABT schemes by defining ABT terminology and identifying common interfaces.
Having this consistency from the outset reduces the cost of procurement as well as the effort to expand or join independent ABT Schemes in the future.
With this objective in mind, this document has been written in a technology agnostic manner where possible.
It is recognised, however, that a chosen technology will have its own specific constraints that will need to be documented.
